This television show is one of the only television shows that has been broadcast on all four of the networks that existed during the 'Golden Age' of television, including the Dumont Network. Mike Stokey created the show, originally called "Pantomime Quiz" in 1947 for a local Los Angeles television station. It was popular enough to be picked up first by the CBS network, and ran until 1959 nationally. In 1962 the show was revived as "Stump the Stars" and ran off and on again until 1970. The shows below are from the 1963 season and feature the original creator Mike Stokey and many of the movie and television stars of the time.
There were two teams of four contestants competing against each other. Three members of each team were regulars appearing every week, with one special guest star to anchor each team. Each team tried to solve a pantomime as quickly as possible.
