United States Marshal was produced by Desilu, the company formed by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz that produced many of the hit television shows of the late 1950's. In 1960 Lucy and Desi were divorced, and by 1968 Lucy didn't want to keep up the ownership of Desilu Studios, and she sold the studios and all of its assets, including shows like United States Marshal, to Gulf and Western Industries, which allowed many of the shows, like United States Marshal, become public domain.
This show features true stories from the U.S. Marshal Service in New Mexico. The leading man is John Bromfield, who plays U.S. Marshal Frank Morgan. Like many of the shows from the late 1950's and early 1960's, there is a lot of historical beauty not only in the acting of the performers, but the scenes from 1960 America and the amazing automobiles that we drove. There is also more gunfire, fighting and death in these old shows than television shows are alowed to show today.
