The Thin Man television program, running for two seasons in the late 1950's, capitalized on the immense popularity of the movie series starring William Powell and Myrna Loy. The London born Peter Lawford was excellent casting for the character of Nick Charles, but I am not so sure about Phyllis Kirk. For my money, there isn't an actress alive then or now that could do justice to Myrna Loy in the movies. I am sure that Ms. Kirk was probably the best choice at the time, but Myrna was electrifying as Nora Charles, and very tough to replace.
