John Beradino, who plays "Bernie" in this episode, was a baseball player with the World Series Winning Cleveland Indians in 1948. He was later traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates and in 1952 had a career ending leg injury. He went into acting, and appeared as a State Trooper in the 1954 Frank Sinatra thriller, "Suddenly," but a year earlier appeared as "Bernie" in this episode of "I'm the Law." Later he played the part of Dr. Steve Hardy on the television soap opera "General Hospital" from its first episode until his death in 1996.
