Jimbo Berkey on
Yancy Derringer - 1958
Yancy Derringer was a Confederate Soldier, but the war is over, and Yancy goes back to New Orleans and makes his living as a gambling ladies man. But he works secretly for the Administrator of New Orleans, helping to solve crime in the city, using any means that he can, most often illegal. His side-kick and assistant is an Indian named Pahoo-Ka-Ta-Wah, which means 'wolf.' The mansion seen in the series was the one on the Desilu Studios back lot that was used as 'Tara' in "Gone with the Wind" when the studio was owned by Selznick International Pictures. The facade of the house was later sold and moved to Atlanta. Unfortunately, I can only find one surviving episode, offered below.
